We have years of memories to draw from, but one of our favorite Idaho moments happened just recently. The Solar Eclipse of 2017 cut right through the heart of Idaho. Few things bring adventure and education together in the same moment like a total solar eclipse. When day turns into night, when it goes from warm to chilly and back again, when the bugs and birds are chirping one minute and silent the next, to see twilight 360 degrees on the horizon, a night sky overhead, and of course, the eclipsed sun itself. To feel that immediate connection and realization that we’re floating balls in space, it really doesn’t disappoint. If you want to see a picture of the eclipse itself, they’re easy enough to find online. Here was our view of the landscape from Caribou-Targhee National Forest, just outside of Driggs.
